Alliance Tower Defense Roblox Maps and Modes Guide
City first, then the rest of the picker — without copying another game’s atlas.
Alliance Tower Defense ships with a mode picker, not a tourist brochure. A feature showcase recorded early in the game’s life counted four maps and modes. That number will move with weekly (or faster) patches. This page documents what we can verify: City, Easy, and 1-player queues, plus how to treat every new layout as the same placement exam you already passed on Cameraman.
If you have never cleared City, stop here and open the Easy City walkthrough. Maps are not collectibles. They are paths that punish split upgrades.
City — the documented starter
City is the urban lane used in the beginner strategy videos. It is readable: a path, pads beside the path, a funnel where one maxed Cameraman covers the job on Easy. Play it in 1-player so skip votes and other people’s placements cannot desync your upgrade timing.
Use City to:
- Learn place then max.
- Test Auto Skip without an audience.
- Benchmark coin income for the Coin farming tool.
- Try a new summon on a map you cannot lose, as recommended in the Summoning guide.
When City on Easy is free, raise the difficulty on the same map before you hop to an unread layout. Difficulty is a multiplier on leak speed. A new map is a multiplier on confusion. Stacking both at once is how people buy x2 COINS! and still lose.
Easy versus later difficulties
Easy exists to teach cash timing. Later difficulties exist to tax that timing. We will not invent names for modes the picker has not shown in verified footage. If the live game lists Normal, Hard, or something else, treat the label as “faster leaks, less forgive on under-upgraded bodies.”
Boss waves and a toilet-army style finale appear in showcase content. Those moments want coverage (TV Titan as a summon target, Large Scientist as early DPS) rather than five unmaxed commons. Role language is on Units & Roles.
1-player versus populated servers
The experience allows up to 35 players per server. That is a lobby and matchmaking fact from the Roblox API, not a promise that 35 people will cooperate on your funnel. For learning, 1-player Easy City is the correct isolation chamber. For leaderboard grinding, populated matches may change coin payouts or fail conditions — we have no official payout table, so do not quote one. Play both, compare your own totals, and log the result in your head, not on a fake spreadsheet from another wiki.
If other players skip waves you are not ready for, leave and run solo. The leave control is in Controls & UI. Coins earned up to that point still matter; ego does not.
How to read a brand-new map
When a patch adds a layout:
- Open it on the lowest difficulty in 1-player.
- Find the longest straight or the tightest corner. That is your Cameraman (or current carry) pad.
- Place one body, max it, then decide if a second pad exists that does not steal the upgrade budget.
- Only then bring Large Scientist or TV Titan if you own them. New maps are not a reason to dump the Summoning reserve.
- Note whether Auto Skip still feels safe. Skip is a City luxury; a maze map may need manual wave starts.
Strategy is the general placement doctrine. This page is the “which queue button” doctrine.
Events that change the picker
Timed 2x windows in the Roblox title do not add a map; they make every map pay more. Limited passes such as GOLDEN BAT! do not add a map either. Do not wait for a VIP pass marked SOON before you learn City. Event context is on Events and passes.
What we will not paste
Toilet Tower Defense chapter names, Titan Tower Defense raid tiles, and All Star Tower Defense story acts are other products. If a thumbnail looks familiar, check the experience name. Alliance Tower Defense is universe 10393438342.
For the official description’s weekly-update promise versus creator claims of a five-day cadence, use the Updates Hub. For who belongs on each pad, use Team Builds. For the first-hour lobby walk, use Getting Started.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What maps are in Alliance Tower Defense?
City is the verified starter map. An early showcase counted four maps and modes; that snapshot will change with patches. Always check the live picker.
Which mode should I play first?
1-player Easy City. It is the documented Cameraman teaching setup.
Should I jump to a new map the day it ships?
Open it on the lowest difficulty in 1-player after you can already clear Easy City. Do not stack a new layout with a new difficulty.
Does 35-player matchmaking replace solo?
No. Populated servers are optional. Learn in 1-player so Auto Skip and upgrades stay under your control.
Will this page list every future map name?
Only after it is verified in Alliance Tower Defense. We will not import another game’s atlas.
